Go2FirearmSafety™ has a large directory of ranges, that will allow you, the visitor to locate a range near you. The right shooting range is as important as your choice of firearms. Indoor or outdoor, level of supervision, area ventilation, and type of firearms allowed, are just a few of the criteria that need to be assessed when choosing a shooting range. Go2FirearmSafety™ allows you to filter the list of ranges, to quickly find your preferred range. Designated shooting ranges Designated shooting ranges are the best places to practice shooting your firearm. You can legally discharge your firearm at designated shooting ranges, and they are specifically designed for safety. All range rules must be observed to ensure the safety of everyone in the area. Supervised ranges Many enthusiasts feel the safest when they do their shooting at a place under the strict supervision of one or multiple range officers as designated by the gun club, range owner or gun shop. The range officer supervises behaviors of all the shooters. The officer can also intervene if there is a requirement to correct any kind of safety violation. Safe shooting space A principal rule of safety when it comes to firearms is to observe the four rules of gun safety, especially Rule #4, Be sure of your target, and what is beyond it.
- All guns are always loaded. (Treat them so!)
- Never point the gun at anything you are not willing to destroy.
- Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target (and you have made the decision to shoot).
- Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.
